More than seventy won a grant for a scientific grant from the University of Debrecen
Debrecen – The institution participated in the Scientific Patronage competition of the National Office for Research, Development and Innovation with overwhelming success.
The 71 winners of the institution received a total of more than HUF 273 million in support for the implementation of various scientific projects. The aim of the Scientific Patronage competition announced from the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund is to encourage the involvement of the scientific research community in the international circulation and to support the introduction of open science in Hungary.
Of the almost a thousand applications received, 434 researchers, including 71 researchers from the University of Debrecen, will receive support within the framework of the 2021 Scientific Patronage competition.
The total funding of the applications submitted and won by the University of Debrecen is HUF 273.138 million, which is more than 16 percent of the national envelope.
The money received can be used for the organization of international conferences in Hungary (7), for participation in foreign events (47), for the promotion of scientific results (5) and for the publication of publications (12).

Above all, the successful application will include a textbook entitled “Preventive Medicine and Demography”, a volume entitled “Introduction to Historical Science, Methods of Historical Research in the Use of Public Collections”, and an Atlas of Hungarian Orchids. They can make educational short films about the medical applications of modern 3D techniques, and organize an international conference on the topic of “Mercenaries and Crusaders (1202-1480)” at the University of Debrecen, as well as an international professional conference on number theory.
