Newly reserved seats at the shopping center have shared experience
A fleet of hundreds of conspicuously green scooters has traveled around Prague in three complete seasons, more than 2 million kilometers since the service was launched. Users can easily register to ride ecological motorcycles. Each scooter has two helmets in storage, and a holder with a USB port for charging the phone. New are the nets for more comfortable luggage transport, modernized application design, reserved parking spaces at large shopping centers in Prague and also the Scooter School – training for safe riding on an electric scooter in city traffic.
During this year, the BeRider scooter sharing service saw some news. For example, equipping part of the fleet with nets that help improve safety and comfort when carrying luggage. From June this year, users have a completely new application at their disposal. A practical feature is, for example, a checklist of actions after returning the scooter so that people do not forget personal belongings in the storage area. “The benefit is photographing a parked scooter so that the drivers have proof that they have parked the machine in accordance with the regulations,” said Jarmila Plachá, head of Škoda Auto DigiLab. Another improvement is the star rating of the scooter in the application. Riding on such a marked machine is advantageous, the operator adds a credit to the user corresponding to 50% of the amount traveled.

With the growing interest in the service, parking options are also expanding. The new green electrical experience uses reserved places at large shopping centers in Černý Most, Chodov and Zličín. Part of the maintenance is to ensure thorough hygiene measures. Helmets, handles and storage areas are constantly being disinfected.
A scooter school is also prepared for those interested – a simple form of training, during which riders will learn the basics of electric scooter riding and get tips for safe driving in busy city traffic. Users can also complete the scooter school through YouTube video courses. More than 732,000 viewers have already watched the videos with driving tricks.
