Russia may take part in a project to develop hydropower in Central Asia – Economy and business
MOSCOW, December 2. / TASS /. Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Novak instructed to work out the issue of participation of Russian companies in projects for the development of the water and energy community in Central Asia. He announced this in his welcoming speech at the second Eurasian Congress.
“I have already given instructions on the project for companies to participate in investment projects to develop the water and energy community in Central Asia,” he said. Novak added that the countries are now working on the organization of the electricity market, as well as the return of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan to the unified energy system of Central Asia.
“Optimize your energy consumption by using your energy consumption,” he said.
According to him, now the rules of the future electric power market of the EAEU countries are being developed, the construction of nuclear power plants and hydroelectric power plants is being worked out.
“We welcome the participation of our companies in the development of the promising energy complex of our neighbors and see great prospects in its development,” the Prime Minister.
