“We will not give up, and I believe you will not either!” We will open the Czechia movement – Chcípl PES invites people to a Sunday protest in Letná in Prague against Babiš’s government, which has announced a new state and new anti-epidemic measures since Friday. The event will feature tents with experts from a number of lawyers and doctors and a music program.
“We convened a protest quickly and mainly in response to the declaration of a state of emergency and against Babiš and his government in resignation,” invites the chairman of the initiative Chcípl PES and the owner of the Prague restaurant Šeberák Jakub Olbert to a Sunday afternoon event called the Festival of Courage and Freedom. The event starts at 13:00 and its end is announced at 17:00.
Participants will have the opportunity to attend a seminar for doctors, lawyers, economists, school principals and also have a music program.
The government decided on Thursday that restaurants, bars and clubs will have to be closed from Friday between 10:00 and 04:59. People will not be able to consume alcohol in public. It also banned the holding of Christmas markets with the termination of the sale of trees and carp. From Friday, a maximum of 1,000 people will be able to attend cultural performances, sporting events and educational events, either vaccinated or after covid. From Friday, a maximum of 100 people will be able to attend other mass events such as celebrations, parties or balls.
Olbert criticizes especially the unexpected cancellation of the markets in Prague, for which the stallholders have been preparing for a long time: “Even today, everyone was looking forward to Christmas helping them reduce those losses after that difficult year. What I saw on Friday at five o’clock when I arrived in the Old Town Square was ruin, regret, anger at all that awaited these people now. They had nothing left at all! ”He described the despair of the traders, who had been preparing all year, bought goods, paid rent in advance, and some even took out loans.

The regulation is based on the declaration of a state of emergency. Olbert quotes the administrative court’s decision when it approved a government decree in April based on the new status: The Supreme Administrative Court does not intend to speculate on the motivation of the state. However, the way in which measures are issued at short intervals is an exceptional fact of effective judicial review. “
The possibility of judicial protection for us residents provided by the Supreme Administrative Court thus disappears and reaches its limits. The Supreme Administrative Court has no room to annul the regulations before they come to hear the action against the current regulation, so we already have another regulation, “says Olbert.
Finally, in the law-based video, he specifically states why they will not comply with any general regulations based on the new situation, and gives valuable advice to other entrepreneurs.

“We are fighting in very difficult ones, it will be important how we manage on November 28 to make our next year a little freer again. We don’t give up and I believe you don’t either. This is another challenge for us. You are the reason that convinced us that our path is the right one, “added the organizers Jakub Olbert and Jiří Janeček.

The movement, together with other groups, is also organizing a petition against compulsory vaccination, which, according to Janeček, has so far been signed online by about 13,000 people.
In addition to the Open Czechia – Chcípl PES movement, a number of other groups participate in organizing events, such as Tricolor, Free, Swiss Democracy or Manifesto. According to the chairman of the Manifest party, David Tesař, at Sunday’s event, people will be able to meet lawyers or doctors to answer questions about the epidemic and how to defend against the government’s anti-epidemic measures.
According to Janeček, next week the movement will launch a call center, which will be attended by 112 volunteers from the ranks of experts and five telephone operators. People will be able to advise on how to defend themselves against government measures, for example in employment. In this context, Janeček mentioned mandatory vaccinations, which are mentioned in connection with some professions.
The movement also plans to pour fish soup on Christmas Day in the Old Town Square and will hold an event on New Year’s Eve from 18:00 at the same place called Demonstration for freedom in 2022.
