New Jesuit Governor and Chaplain of the Parish of Christ the King in Joseph City – PICTURE REPORT | Hungarian Courier
On the corner of Mikszáth Square in Budapest, one of the smallest parishes in the Budapest-Esztergom Archdiocese operates over the Hungarian Order of the Society of Jesus from August 1, following the appointment of the chief pastor for pastoral care. (Thus, together with the parish of Toronto in Miskolc and Canada, the services of three parishes now belong to the Hungarian Jesuits.)
Árpád SJ Horváth, who also runs the Church of the Heart of Jesus on the neighboring Mária Street, took over the duties of governor of the Parish of Christ in Budapest-Belsőjózsefváros during the summer.
The solemn inauguration of the Jesuit fathers can be traced in the photos of Gellért Orbán. The ceremony was attended by Brúnó Kaposi and Jr. Led by György Janka.
One of the most dreaded treasures of the tiny parish and its chapel is Feszty Masa Crown of Christ with thorns , which we wrote more about HERE.
