The military historian allowed a short and bloody war between Russia and Ukraine: Politics: Russia: Lenta.ru
Military historian and expert Yevgeniy Norin predicted the possible consequences of a hypothetical war between Russia and Ukraine. About it writes Telegram channel “Radiotochka NSN”.
In his opinion, the armed conflict will be short but bloody. He admitted that the development of events “will resemble an enlarged copy of the” five-day war “with Georgia.” The result of this war will be “several thousand dead in a few days, a maximum of a week”, despite the fact that the Ukrainian army is superior to the Georgian one.
Noreen notes that so far he does not see the prerequisites for such a collision. “You have to understand that there are not very sane people on the Ukrainian side now.”
Earlier, retired FSB Major General Alexander Mikhailov, in a conversation with Lenta.ru, said that Ukraine is unlikely to dare to go to war with Russia, since it does not have enough resources either in terms of weapons or in terms of the morale of the armed states (APU). He added that NATO will not become a member of the organization.
On November 22, Bloomberg, citing sources in the intelligence services, wrote that in 2022 Russia would attack Ukraine from three sides: from the Crimea peninsula, from the Russian-Ukrainian border and from the territory of Belarus. Also, intelligence officers reported that they had shared the intelligence with their European colleagues. The United States claims that most of the Russian tactical groups are already in their positions. Their advance will be supported by air strikes, the safety of which will be ensured by reservists that Moscow has called on on a “scale unprecedented in the post-Soviet space.”
Later, the press bureau of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service announced that the US State Department was establishing false information that Russia was preparing to attack Ukraine, for which it was concentrating its military contingent on the borders. The secret service is confident that “Washington officials” are deliberately “intimidating” the alleged Moscow woman to attack Kiev. The Russian side has no such plans.
