“Nevertheless, it is necessary to do random checks, including in public transport,” said the mayor of the Russian city.
According to him, about 180 teams are checking compliance with epidemiological measures to combat coronavirus.
Tatarstan was the first region to introduce QR codes for public transport. The new rules came into force on November 22 – documents are also checked when selling tickets. If the resident refuses to present the QR code, he / she must leave the transport.
On the first day of the new rules in the republic, about 800 people were dropped off from public transport. In addition, the tram route was delayed in the city because of a passenger who refused to present a QR code of complex complexity in the metro. Due to the new measures in transport, there have been many conflicts between controllers and passengers. One of the checking digital documents had his nose broken.
