Due to preparatory work, the traffic restrictions started on Saturday afternoon, according to Martin Buček from the communications team of the Roads and Motorways Directorate. “The detour route will run on both sides of the road II / 611 through the villages of Nehvizdy – Mochov and Starý Vestec,” he said.
The bridge, which is crossed by road II / 245, has been closed since 11 November and has been demolished by Central Bohemian road workers.
According to Petra Kučerová, a spokeswoman for the Central Bohemian Regional Administration and Road Maintenance, finishing work will continue on Sunday, during which traffic will be conducted in one lane in both directions at the center of the motorway.
The construction of the new bridge will cost about 50 million crowns without VAT. According to the tender, its service life should be 100 years and it should also enable the future extension of the motorway by two lanes.
