In Russia, scammers began to cash in on anti-vaccinations: Society: Russia: Lenta.ru
The demand for vaccination certificates in Russia has grown, as has the number of scammers who profit from anti-vaccinations. Sellers provide to receive an illegal document and issue a QR code on State Services, informs URA.RU
According to the portal, hundreds of channels began to appear on Telegram, where fraudsters sell an “officially registered” QR code. This service costs from 4 to 6 thousand rubles. For two thousand rubles, sellers provide PCR tests, which are supposedly taken into account in the databases of medical clinics, and a fake vaccination withdrawal from them can be bought for 3 thousand.
One of these Telegram channels has over 100 thousand subscribers. At the same time, a specialist in Internet communications Arseny Kamyshev states that the advertising post has only 8 thousand views, and this is disproportionate to the declared number of subscribers.
To purchase a fake document, you need to send your personal data to the owner of the community and transfer his card money. The owner promises that the QR code will come within a few hours, however, after transferring funds, he simply blocks the buyer, receiving not only, but also his personal data. The amounts that citizens transfer to deceivers can amount to tens of millions of rubles, says URA.RU.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Health increased the increase in the validity period of certificates for citizens who had had COVID-19 from six months to a year. This is now being discussed at the expert level, but the experience of European countries shows that certificates for people who have undergone COVID-19 presented for six months.
