ALL ANTWERP. “I want to learn how to make furniture myself” (Antwerp)
Every weekday our reporter and photographer pick a casual passer-by off the street for a nice conversation. Want everyone has a story. And certainly in Antwerp. Today: Hanne Fransen (27)
Rebecca Van Remoortere
“I am a photographer and visually artistic. I like to make portraits. I do that regularly for music bands. I already did that for Geppetto & The Whales, for example, that is the band my brother plays in.”
“I am still in full start-up with my own business and I am now in the process of setting up a starter lab. That is a project in which VDAB is guided to start up its own business. I am now learning how important it is to have a plan and structure and I am learning to deal with numbers. Excel is terror to me, but I have to be able to do it.”
“I worked at Serax for a long time as a graphic designer and photographer. That was a really fun sector, but I always knew I wanted to do more of my own thing. I resigned and was going to travel through Asia with a friend for five months, but after five weeks we were already back home because of corona. That is why I started my own business faster than expected.”
“My dream is that my photos will one day end up in fashion magazines like Elle by Marie Claire. And I also want to learn how to make furniture myself. I’m starting a class to learn that. I think all my interests may come someday. Someday I might bring my self-made objects and my photography together.”
