The management of the capital does not rule out the possibility that the head of the trustee will be fired due to the plan to sell the land in the town hall.
The position of Balázs J. Barts in Budapest Főváros Vagyonkezelő Központ Zrt. Has become questionable. Vice-Mayor Kiss Ambrus spoke about this in a straight speech on Wednesday night, writes on Hvg.hu. Kiss said there had never been a plan to sell City Hall, so they hadn’t even given Barts permission to talk to anyone about it – according to a recording leaked on Tuesday, it did.
Mayor Gergely Karácsony called on Barts to explain in writing with whom and on whose behalf he was negotiating the possible sale of the City Hall building.
Although Barts’ management has asked the capital for a material on the future use of the Town Hall, in which the sale of the building complex is a possible solution, the mayor’s office has rejected this possibility.
“We didn’t give him a mandate to negotiate the sale, we’re looking forward to, among other things, why he still thought he needed to meet anyone on the matter. (…) I doubt that the manager of the trustee can be heard on the recording, which is not shocked anyway ”
Kiss Ambrus said in an interview with ATV. According to the deputy mayor, they are waiting for Barts’ response, but the Budapest management’s confidence in the CEO of the trustee has faltered. Kiss Ambrus says they could even oust Barts J. Balázs from his position because of the case.
By the way, Barts did not appoint the then Fidesz majority in the capital at the end of 2014, on the proposal of his predecessor, István Tarlós.
Christmas: Let your mouth be big now!
The mayor In a Facebook post reacted to the developments in the “no-man’s land around the City Hall”: According to Christmas, the real scandal is that the government will halve the business tax on the capital and districts next year.
“Rural big cities are either compensated or not, but the capital and districts don’t even dream of that. This year, this measure alone will take as much money out of the budget of the Metropolitan Municipality and the district as the City Hall claims – almost 40 billion forints ”
Gergely Karácsony wrote in his post. According to the mayor, the Fidesz people in Budapest should also speak out against the withdrawals. “Let your mouth be great now!” Christmas closed.
