Planet Budapest 2021 – Magyar Posta issued a stamp on the occasion of the World Sustainability Meeting
Hungary successfully organized the World Water Meeting in 2013, 2016 and 2019, but now it is organizing a sustainability expo and world meeting with a wider theme, now together with the other Visegrad countries – he recalled the launch of the new stamp at the Sándor Palace on Monday. Planet Budapest also takes over the main patronage of 2021: the event emphasized: the event will focus not only on climate change and the water crisis, but also on a wider range of UN-agreed sustainability goals, in a much larger area than before, on the renovated Hungexpo.
According to the Head of State, Planet Budapest 2021 will be built around four thematic event groups.
The Sustainability Expo, in Harmony with Nature, aims to present innovations that support environmental sustainability and are based on the knowledge and expertise of the Visegrad countries. At the World Summit on Sustainability, Heads of State and Government, government decision-makers, recognized experts from international organizations, and representatives of academia and business will discuss sustainable water management, food production, energy and waste management, and transport.
As he added, there are also a number of audience programs on sustainability called You Planet, and young people are primarily meant to address a youth experience program called Heroes of the Future.
János Áder thanked Magyar Posta for drawing attention to Planet Budapest 2021 and the importance of the topic by issuing stamps.

On the occasion of Planet Budapest 2021, a stamp with a nominal value of HUF 500, issued in 20,000 copies, was designed by Szilárd Demján. The refined forms show the harmony between nature and man, and the building of the Parliament also appears on the stamp, said Sára Hegmann, Nemes.
