Great victory against Debrecen
The Dunaújváros Steel Bulls hockey team continued the regular season of the Erste Liga with a home clash against DEAC from five o’clock this afternoon, and although he will be a guest of the meeting, ours was naturally confident that he could surprise David Musial’s team with several former Dunaújváros players.
The people of Dunaújváros started bravely, and although in the first minutes none of the guards could form an advantage, in the 6th minute Lőczi’s shot surprised Hetényi, so the Steel Bulls quickly took the lead (1-0). Unfortunately, we couldn’t be happy about this for a long time, because in the 9th minute, the guests took the lead, who equalized with Vokla’s hit in just 29 seconds (1-1). In the middle of the third, the Bulls picked up another unnecessary show, and although they managed to defend this, in the 15th minute they carried a counterattack to Debrecen, and took the lead with a shot by the former Turcotte from Dunaújváros (1-2). The one we caught took a bit of ours, and although our team quickly settled the lines, a small and annoying mistake slipped into the attacks, which made it impossible to get to the opponent’s goal.
However, they started the second stage very determinedly, there was a battle of completely equal forces on the ice, and although there was a situation on both sides, Krajcovic and Hetényi also brought it to the goal. In the middle of the game, the equalizer finally came together, because after a nicely played part of the fight, Németh found up close to Hetényi’s goal in human advantage, so the Steel Bulls could no longer attack for the equalization, but for the lead (2-2). In the round-trip game, it finally came together for the Gudas team in the 37th minute, which was a great counterattack for their opponent, and they took the advantage again with the Turkish hit, and they could still wait for the third act.

In which, of course, Debrecen tried to shift to a higher gear, but despite the fact that the DEAC strikers appeared several times in front of the home goal, there was always a good block, a goalie feat to equalize the guests. There was a risk of scoring in the home contractions as well, but unfortunately he remained in it, until the 60th minute, when Szűcs rushed towards Hetényi’s goal, setting a brilliant 4-2 home success with a beautiful but extremely naughty hit. end result. However, our Steel Bulls cannot be happy with today’s victory for a long time, because they will be installing against the Győr in the Dunaújváros Ice Hall from five o’clock on Sunday afternoon.
Leo Gudas: – We defended ourselves very well tonight, we were disciplined, we stuck to the tactics, and we finally fought hard for sixty minutes, that’s what we have to do in every match. We are very happy with the victory, but not for long, because tomorrow we will have another very important battle against Győr.
Áron Kecskeméti (second coach): – We are ashamed of ourselves on behalf of the whole team. We put a terrible performance on the ice, and I don’t want to take away the merits of Dunaújváros, because they won a big victory, but we have to say, we should have today. It is not the first time that we have completely lost our head after a good first third, we cannot play quality hockey, we get goals from turns. This is unacceptable, we can’t stand a match for him that will be easy, we seemed to have learned this yesterday, but we couldn’t get it over anymore.
