Christmas wedge privatization back face with instantaneous talk
The Christmas Gregory wanted to privatize instead of creating a park. According to the instantaneous mayor of Újpest, he stepped back to the City Hall through his intercession. However, at the Budapest General Assembly on September 1, Tibor Déri also supported the sale of the former Újpest Spa and Swimming Pool plot.
“With a strict regulatory environment, we will ensure the preservation of the contiguous large green areas of the city and the creation of new valuable green areas. 1, We prevent the assembly of city districts, the installation of green areas that separate them and provide respiration for the city. 2, We fill the green areas like this, but still used many times today, with life, let them be popular among athletes and walkers. 3, We encourage the green-dominated renewal of the rust ring that separates the suburbs from the city center, and connect them with the parks and gardens that host popular places in the city and suburbs. ”
Among other things, these were undertaken by Gergely Karácsony Budapest belongs to everyone entitled in its program, who was elected mayor on October 13, 2019.
The last good two years, on the other hand, show that environmentally conscious phrases have proven to be just audible slogans.
One of the latest proofs of this was the attempt to sell the land of the former Újpest Spa and Swimming Pool. As reported in the Mandiner van reported, The Christmas people wanted to sell Árpád út 114-120, owned by Budapest Gyógyfürdői és Hévizei Zrt. (BGYH). area. The “undeveloped area” registered under the topographical number 71509 of a total of 5064 square meters for HUF 700 million plus VAT announced Budapest Főváros Vagyonkezelő Központ Zrt. (BFVK).
Privatization attempts in Újpest
The Újpest Spa and Swimming Pool on the plot was closed in 2007 by the then capital, still headed by Gábor Demszky. The facility has not been deliberately developed for many years, no maintenance has been done and no alterations have been made to the facility in line with European standards. The building stood empty between 2007 and 2017, and although István Tarlós wanted to sell the area in addition to the town of Demszky, there was no buyer.
This may have been due to the fact that the facility was not intended to be used as a swimming pool or with any other function. The most serious problems were caused by the asbestos-cement insulation of the building and the calcification of the pipe from the Széchenyi Spa and Swimming Pool. The building was finally demolished by the company by 2018, however, citing the construction finishing works and the price increase, a dispute arose with the BGYH and it did not return (possession) the area to the capital.
We contacted the companies of the capital (BGYH, BFVK), why they had just announced the plot in Újpest; whether the date of the call for tenders has to do with the possible conclusion of a previous dispute; but we did not receive any answers.
Fidesz: Let’s set up a park
On November 28, 2019, the IV. The Fidesz faction of the district proposed that the Újpest Municipality acquire a park for the former spa and swimming pool from the Municipality of Újpest for the then left-wing majority body.
The momentary Mayor Tibor Déri then attached an amendment proposal to the proposal, according to which Árpád út 114-120. The area under number no.
Déri did this for 180 days, but nothing happened for two years.
The announcement of the tender was compiled by the Újpest Board of Representatives on the next few days, on October 28. Once again, the establishment of the park was discussed. “There is a previous decision of the Board of Representatives, which states that the Board of Representatives of Újpest wants a green function for an area in question, which serves the interests of the people living here.” – reminded Trippon Norbert, the SE’s deputy mayor.
Déri said he would also ask for the sale of the plot and expressed hope that the establishment of the park would already be included in next year’s capital budget. István Nagy, the leader of the local Fidesz faction, also supports the initiative that the realization of the park would be important because if one of the pedestrian exits of the line is established there if the metro line 3 is extended.
The panel again called on the mayor to take action.
A multitude of contradictions
In the case of Mandiner contacted Tibor Déri, wondering if he had contacted the Christmas Gregory; if so, to receive letters registered between the parties; and if not, why he has not yet complied with the calls of the House of Representatives.
Kristóf Sulykos from the press department of the local government responded to our letter, who wreathed on behalf of the Momentum at this year’s commemoration in Újpest ’56. We did not receive the requested documents (if they exist at all), only the Facebook post of the mayor (November 5) was forwarded on Friday, including the following:
- Déri sends the board decision of October 28 to the leaders of BGYH and BFVK a day later.
- Subsequently, at a meeting of the Mayor’s Cabinet on 4 November, it was decided to suspend the sale and hold further negotiations on their initiative.
- “Personally, I’m glad that in two weeks we managed to radically change the capital’s opinion about the sale and realized that the sale is not a good solution for the people of Újpest!”
seems,
the instantaneous district leader has done nothing in the last two years to give effect to the unanimous decision of the Újpest board at the City Hall. Drunkard.
At its meeting on 1 September, the Metropolitan General Assembly itself voted in favor of the proposal (1311/2021), according to which it can repay the loan received from the BGYH Metropolitan Municipality by selling the former spa and swimming pool plot.
Nevertheless, Déri is now vindicating the victory for himself. It should be noted that the BGYH has to repay 700 million by 31 December this year – the now-defeated BFVK tender was also advertised for this by Árpád út 114-120. area.
Incidentally, in order for a park to be established in the area of the former spa and swimming pool, the Metropolitan Assembly would have to derecognise the plot from the BGYH property, it would have to take it back to the Budapest Municipality, so as the BGYH will neither establish nor operate a public park. . In any case, the privatization of the real estate in Újpest was suspended for a time, presumably under pressure from the DK Member of Parliament.
