Return of another carrier to Prague. Jet2.com renews in the UK after a year and a half
October was the second strongest month for Václav Havel Airport in terms of the number of passengers.
The resumption of air traffic following the coronavirus pandemic continues. Today, after more than a year and a half, the regular lines of the British carrier Jet2.com returned to Prague.
Today, airlines have resumed connections between Prague and the British cities of Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds, and the route will return to Newcastle from 12 December. Jet2.com resumed operations to Prague last November, but only for four years. Then again another wave of coronavirus caused the operation to stop.
During this week, flights to four British destinations returned, as well as connections to London City Airport operated by British Airways.
In the case of Birmingham, Jet2.com will compete in the form of Eurowings (so far two years a week), while Manchester now has three carriers: easyJet, Ryanair and Jet2.com (every 2-3 years a week). Jet2.com flies to Leeds alone, as well as to Newcastle.
Data on the number of passengers for October also show a gradual resumption of traffic. 625 passengers passed through the airport, which is the second best result after this year’s thousand July, even higher than in the traditionally strong August.
