Debrecen – The government commissioner of the Northeast Hungary Economic Development Zone met with the leaders of Debrecen and the region.
Minister of Innovation and Technology László Palkovics visited Debrecen again. The government commissioner of the Northeast Hungary Economic Development Zone held consultations with the leaders of the city and the region, including Mayor László Papp, Zoltán Pajna, the chairman of the county assembly and the county member of parliament.
The economic engine of the region is Debrecen, its dynamic development shows direction and helps the development of the region. On Friday, the ongoing projects were reviewed so they are progressing well.
“We talked about the developments that are directly related to the industrial development of Debrecen, as well as how to develop the vocational training system, but the transformation of the university system and the health industry were also topics,” the minister said.
In addition to the development of the city and its region, the government and the Debrecen 2030 development program will continue dynamically in 2022. Major transport developments are on the agenda, such as the modernization of the main road No. 471 in Debrecen.
– The urban transport network is very significant and concrete developments affecting public transport are starting – László Papp said. – These include the preparation of the eastern, outer and inner bypass sections.
The parliamentarians of Debrecen and the county have compiled a package of proposals containing priority projects for the government in order to further develop the region.
– 13 + 1 we have a proposal from the constituency. These include developments affecting Debrecen and several settlements. For example, the establishment of a sectoral training center, but also the construction of a multifunctional hall, said László Tasó, a member of parliament of Fidesz-KDNP.
Members of parliament said that the countryside was strongly supported by the government and that Debrecen was also interested in the development of other settlements in the county.
