Prague – Fans of books by writers Jaroslav Foglar and his legendary Fast Arrows can play an outdoor game called Stínadla from today. The game, which can be attended by individuals and groups of players, will be performed by participants in 17 places in Prague, where they will be waiting for tasks. The play was prepared by the Museum of the City of Prague for the exhibition The City as a Ghost, which takes place in the House at the Golden Ring.
According to the blind map, the task of the players of the outdoor games Stínadla is to find 17 places where they will perform the prepared tasks. The goal is to get 17 memorial cards and solve the final secret. The game plan can be purchased at the box office in the House at the Golden Ring and costs 50 crowns. The fulfillment of individual tasks can be scheduled over several days. The first stage of the game will be up to date until the end of March 2022. From April next year, the continuation of the games will be prepared for those interested, where players can look forward to new tasks on another route in the so-called Shadows.
The exhibition in the House at the Golden Ring introduces visitors to the place in Prague where Foglar spent his childhood and youth, such as Josefov, Petrská čtvrť or Na Františku, and introduces them to the scene of Foglar’s so-called Shadadel literary trilogy. Visitors to the museum premises will learn, among other things, about Foglar or the form of the First Republic boys’ clubs. The exhibition also focuses on the Vont movement and traces its development to the present day. The exhibition is open to people until September 4, 2022. The Museum of the Capital will present Foglar, his time and work also through well-known lectures, discussions and guided tours.
