American travelers were advised to travel to Russia: Travel: Lenta.ru
The American medical regulator, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), has called on US citizens to travel to Russia. About it reported on the organization’s website.
This decision was made due to the “very high” – the maximum level of the spread of COVID-19 in Russia. The department indicated that, if necessary, the country should “make sure that it is fully vaccinated,” but warned of the risk of infection and spread of COVID-19 strains even by vaccinated people. In addition, the regulator indicates the need to follow the recommendations or requirements of the authorities, wear masks and maintain social distance.
Earlier on November 1, the head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, said that the growth rate of new cases of COVID-19 had slowed down in some regions of Russia. She clarified that in 78 regions of the country, the increase in cases is still recorded, decreasing only in two.
Over the past day, another 40 402 new cases of coronavirus were detected in Russia. Thus, the total number of infections in the country since the beginning of the pandemic was 8,554,192. Most cases of COVID-19 were detected in Moscow (7103), St. Petersburg (3250) and the Moscow region (2866). Least of all – in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug (18 cases), the Nenets Autonomous Okrug (18 cases) and in the Magadan Region (37 cases). During the day, 1155 patients with COVID-19 died, in total, 239 693 people have died since the beginning of the pandemic.
