Koronaios – After the sad record of cases … new measures are coming – The closing of nightclubs is on the table
The coronavirus is attempting its opposition in our country, with the rapid increase of cases, an alarm has been sounded in both the governmental and the scientific staff of our country.
Today, Greece recorded a “black” record of cases since the beginning of the pandemic, with EODY announcing 4,696 cases. This results in pressure on the NSS. In fact, especially in Northern Greece, the epidemiological burden has hit “red” and the hospitals are filled with patients with coronavirus.
It is indicative of the fact that in AHEPA, as stated by the nursing staff, they are intubated and outside the unit. The number of Covid patients in the ICU amounts to 137, in the 28 hospitals of Macedonia and Thrace.
773 cases are treated in single Covid beds, with a vaccination rate of 74-80%, while 70 patients are treated in single Covid beds with a high oxygen flow mask, with a vaccination rate of 83 to 89%.
New measures at the gates
The explosive increase in cases combined with the higher rates of unvaccinated brings new measures for the pillars, at least for the “red” areas.
The Committee of the Ministry of Health of France does not meet in the coming and as revealed by Gikas Majorkinis, there is a discussion about new measures, since it is not ruled out that there may be decisions for areas of concern, such as Thessaly, as well as Central and Eastern Macedonia.
As the professor told SKAI, in extreme cases and if the NSS reaches its homes in areas with low vaccination coverage, it is not excluded that measures of social distancing may be imposed, possibly on catering.
In fact, he would suggest such measures to be lifted only when the level of vaccination in each area exceeds a sufficient amount.
Mr. Majorkinis did not rule out the possibility that in such extreme conditions the nightclubs will be completely closed for a while in the “red” areas.
The map with the areas in the “red”
He did not appear particularly concerned about Attica, despite the 943 cases identified today, saying that he has fewer infections than in August, he pointed out that the Commission is also concerned about the fake news about the coronavirus and vaccines.
The assistant professor of Epidemiology and member of the Committee of Experts warned that if the vaccinations are not increased, the coronavirus will not be eradicated and “we will all face it”.
The measures under consideration
According to information from ERT, the new measures to which the committee that will approach unvaccinated citizens are oriented.
- That is, their further restrictions on mixed, open spaces in environments, cafes and bars
- For example, outdoor mixed entertainment venues will only have shelter and not side guards, which are promoted for protection from the cold. If there are sides, they should not exceed 1.30 height, otherwise they are considered closed spaces.
- On the table is also the suggestion that there is no music indoors.
- In addition, for unvaccinated workers in catering and entertainment there are suggestions for increased testing. That is, to be obliged to a rapid test 3 times a week at their own financial expense.
- For the fully vaccinated, nothing changes in their daily life.
All these are still scenarios and the government will take into account its suggestions, which will meet in its plenary session on Wednesday.
