A first for a quadriplegic person
Achieving this feat will be a first for a person with quadriplegia. For Tony Moggio, “it is the dream of all lovers of skiing, mountains and summits”.
The descent will be via the Vallée Blanche (more than 3,400 m above sea level) to the station of Chamonix (Haute-Savoie), depending on snow conditions. “The greatest originality of this course is to offer glacial off-piste skiing with a drop of almost 2,800 meters and a length unique in the world of 20 kilometers”, explains the staff of this sportsman. disability situation.
To accompany him, Tony Moggio will be able to count on a high mountain guide instructor from the French ski school (ESF) of Chamonix, himself supervised by mountain professionals and ESF instructors.
A regular of incredible performances
Sports enthusiast, this is not his first extraordinary performance. In June 2019, in the Var, Tony Moggio had connected the port of Saint Maximus to that of Saint Tropez with only the strength of his arms, in just 3:05. After having challenged the Mediterranean, he is eager to overcome the White Valley.

He will undergo intensive training
In order to achieve this, Tony Moggio will follow a six month intensive training pendant where he will work his cardio, his muscles and his breathing capacity.
At the same time, the athlete will follow a food rebalancing in order to be less heavy and to accelerate his movements in tandem. “On the mental side, I will call on my trainer to work on my fears in order to avoid or overcome the stress for the transformer in”, he ends, impatient to take up this new challenge.
