The Budapest Design Week was organized for the eighteenth time. The series of events presented the work of thirty Hungarian designers under the age of 30.
Special teqball table, unique wall clock and baby swing – eye-catching and useful objects were presented this year Budapest Design Weeken. The exhibition was accompanied by roundtable discussions on how the pandemic affected the fashion industry, automotive and mobility issues.
The event took place in the form of last year’s similarly hybrid ones, so they were able to join the programs who couldn’t physically be present. According to the curator of the event, Judit Osvárt, after the events held partly online last year, the audience could not wait to you can also study up close interesting new designs.
There is a lot more interest in our programs, I think the reason people are finally happy to go to events after the first and second waves of the coronavirus epidemic. On the one hand, it is very important for people to meet with similar interests to discuss certain issues on a regular basis, and the design itself is a thing missing, personal experience is especially important – Judit Osvárt told hirado.hu at the exhibition venue.
This year, those interested could choose from almost two hundred programs in Budapest and several regions.
