Hajdúböszörmény – In the Gábor Sillye Cultural Center and Community House, the theater and the podium hall were closed down, and the energetic modernization of the entire building was carried out. The investment cost almost 900 million forints.
The walls of the Gábor Sillye Cultural Center and Community House have a completely new exterior instead of yellow and green. This was also part of the comprehensive energy modernization carried out in the Hajdúböszörmény House of Culture. The complete exterior-interior renovation was carried out in several projects. The total value of these was almost HUF 900 million.
– It was very necessary to replace the old doors and windows, thermal insulation was added to the external facade or ceilings, ceilings, solar panels were installed, the ventilation and cooling system was renewed, heat pumps now perform this task – explained Sándor Harangi, Mayor of Harangi Head of Office Application and Asset Management Department.
The theater hall of the house of culture is also adorned in all its splendor, this was the first element of the projects. The auditorium chairs have been refurbished and the lighting has also been upgraded.
Since last year, the András Bársony podium room has been made cozy by LED lighting. He also established the Hajdúság Gallery this year. In the pre-pandemic period, 120,000 people visited the nearly 40-year-old house of culture every year.
“If everyone only came into the theater once, it means millions of uses, and even the best material, the best quality technology, wears out with such uses. That is why the whole renovation was necessary – said Attila Kiss, the mayor of Hajdúböszörmény.
The local government also implements further developments from its own resources. The ground floor washrooms will also be refurbished to better serve events.
