In R, Moldova, the number of new cases of infection with the new coronavirus but also of deaths related to Covid-19 continues to increase: on Sunday, 35 deaths and another 1,115 new cases of infection were registered, the Ministry of Health announced . The number of internationals has also increased almost two thousand (1924 people confirmed with COVID-19 infection), of which 173 in extremely serious condition and 31 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

However, also on Sunday, the number of those who were vaccinated against Covid-19 increased by less than a thousand (1,083): 957 were vaccinated with the first dose and 126 received the booster, the authorities announced.

According to the Ministry of Health, the number of those who want to be vaccinated today, in front of the summer period, when it is administered up to 10 thousand doses per day.

Svetlana Nicolaescu, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Health, told TVR Moldova: “If during the summer months, we administer around 8, up to 10 million doses of vaccine per day, at present, what do you see? ., we are 3-4 thousand doses administered daily ”.

The lowest vaccination rate is registered in Leova, Singerei and ATU Gagauzia districts.

Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, over 826 thousand people have been immunized in the Republic of Moldova, which represents only 24% of the population.
