The consortium led by the Hungarian government offered 4 reliable euros (several 1440 similar forints) for Budapest Airport – the Bloomberg.
In recent days, rumors have sprung up that the government is trying to acquire Budapest Airport again, and now the bidding has taken place.
According to Bloomberg, the OWNERS will presumably sell Budapest Airport in exchange for this price.
If they handle the deal, according to the news agency for the transaction it could take place before next spring’s parliamentary elections. However, it is also not impossible that the owners will not be satisfied with this price yet, as one expert had previously set 5.5 ceilings as the potential value of the company.
According to Bloomberg, the owners – the German AviAlliance – had previously made it a condition for the government to clarify who besides them were members of the consortium and whether they had enough capacity and knowledge to operate the airport. In this context, they were informed that Mol Nyrt. And Dániel Jellinek, CEO of the Indotek Group, are also members of the consortium. They have not yet answered whether the operating conditions are there, but according to a source
the Hungarian government wants to finalize the deal before the end of the year.
The owner of Budapest Airport, the German AviAlliance, even said in the summer that he doesn’t want to sell sell the airport.
