In Přibice, it will abolish the waste fee. Despite rising prices in the surrounding regions
So far, the maximum amount of the fee was 460 crowns. According to Mayor Miroslav Effenberger, one of the reasons for the abolition is the high level of sorting, further increase in real estate taxes. “We canceled it also because we have the cost of proof of garbage, reminders. It is better for us if we receive a real estate tax collected from the tax office, which is income to our budget, “said the mayor. The abolition of the fee has already been approved by the representatives.
According to him, if people continue to sort, there will be no need to reintroduce the fee. “Otherwise, the fee would be higher. Everything becomes more expensive, “said Effenberger.
The motivating principle of paying waste fees has been working for several years in Lednice in the Břeclav region. If the inhabitants join it and adhere to it, they will not pay a penny. If they are against, the amount per year is 480 crowns. “It has been working in our country for a long time and the fee was absolutely not paid on the basis of an incentive program. The system worked for us. We are still among the municipalities where the production of waste per capita is lower, “said Mayor Libor Kabát.
According to him, over ninety percent of the population participated. “We monitor the parameters thanks to the qr code. We know how much separated waste they produce, “added Kabát.
Přibice and Lednice are rather exceptions in southern Moravia. Economist Petr Pelc is skeptical about the willingness of class residents to classify. “People who see the vision of economic benefits will get involved, but I think that a fairly large percentage of people in our country do not deal with waste sorting very much. More municipalities will increase fees. It’s easier for them, “he says.
Znojmo and Vyškov became more expensive
This year, the fee became more expensive, for example, in Znojmo and Vyškov. The same price for waste is paid by the inhabitants of Brno. “The amount does not change for next year, the amount of 670 crowns remained,” confirmed the spokesman of the municipality Filip Poňuchálek.
According to Jana Krutáková, director of the waste company Hantály, people have become accustomed to paying a few crowns for waste, but this is unsustainable in the future. “People have the option of collection yards, pickups directly from households. The second view is economic. The price of labor, the price of fuel, is increasing. Companies must reflect the costs. And also waste management, recycling and disposal cost something, “said the company’s director from the Břeclav region.
