The State Duma in November will consider a government bill that will tighten the rules for hiring a taxi. According to the authors of the initiative, the problem is very urgent on the territory of Russia, since among the drivers there are often murderers, rapists or kidnappers. At the same time, those who have served time for serious crimes are limited in the right to this work in this area.
The bill has already been supported by the tripartite commission for the regulation of social and labor relations, where the document was sent to withdraw the review.
Similar, but less stringent measures have been taken against public transport drivers. To drive buses, trams, trolleybuses is not facilitated by citizens with an unexpunged and unexpunged conviction for crimes against public safety, the fundamental order or the security of the state.
Until March 2023, convicted persons must submit documents to their employers about the presence or absence of a criminal record (criminal prosecution). They plan to issue such a certificate on the portal of public services.
Earlier, the Ministry of Transport of Russia used to deprive taxi drivers who constantly violate traffic rules.
