The first two goals were scored 4-2 by the hosts, who then played enthusiastically and quickly, and played handball more accurately in the jump. The Hungarian team made many mistakes in attack and defense, Melinda Szikora defended that she was not seriously disadvantaged. The leveling match was successful for the ailing team, but it was unable to take the lead back in the first half, with the hosts leading 14-13 during the break.
Slovakia was excellent at the beginning of the second act as well, it took six and a half minutes for the Hungarian national team to take the lead again after 2-1. After a series of four goals, the guests moved to 21-17, but the defense around the stand still is not operated, taking advantage of this, the hosts remain clinging to their opponents. In the fiftieth minute, Golovin Vladimir asked again and then his team further increases his lead (19-24).
The Hungarian band offers a liberated game in their hair, and even the last minutes are exciting again due to mistakes, but with the goals of Gréta Kácsor and Petra Vámos, the Hungarians managed to win with two hits.
The most successful player of the Slovaks was Simona Szarková, who played in Siófok, with ten goals, Nikoleta Trúnková was successful eight times. Melinda Szikora contributed 14 defenses to the success.
The two 21st teams met often: with a Slovak success and three draws, it was the 17th Hungarian victory.
The qualifying series will continue in early March, when the Hungarians will face the World Championship silver medalists twice. The first two places in the groups will be announced next November’s North Macedonian-Montenegrin-Slovenian European Championships. Defending Norway, as well as the national teams of the organizing countries, are already a sure participant.
“The first half game was characterized by a lack of confidence, everyone just pushed the ball. The second was a bit more effective defense, we scored goals after a ball and we calmed down a bit,” said Golovin Vladimir, federal captain of the league mediator M4 Sporton.
He added that the players who worked very hard in the first 15-18 minutes of the second half were rushing incomprehensibly again for the rest of the time.
“We need to learn to appreciate the ball and manage time, we need to know when the mex is over,” the coach noted. He added that he is glad that his team scored four points on two meeks, but since the other meeting was very instructive, we have to learn from them.
“We need to fix the mistakes, and unfortunately we don’t have much time for that,” Golovin referred to the World Cup, which begins on December 1st.
The group’s results so far:
Portugal – Spain 22-23
Slovakia – Hungary 28-30
Hungary – Portugal 34-24
Spain – Slovakia 33-28
