Finished disaster, ringing debacle. Hřibov’s Prague, dear commentators, did not lose the election to the Pirates, not Bartoš’s block. AV notebook

I used to be a loyal voter of Pirates, and Krajské listy.cz, thanks to me, participated in both last elections in a pirate campaign, gives space to their (future) MEPs, I personally hung a pirate sail from the balcony three times and almost registered as a supporter (then they somehow changed it, they demanded that I come in person, so I dropped out freely). And there was … A big disappointment.
Especially with MEPs, I’ve already written that, they disappeared to Brussels like smoke, did not fulfill their promises to inform about what and why is happening there, and from vague news from the gas media that they are pursuing a “super-important” pseudo-liberal agenda of the LGBTI type and the controversial, deadly Green program Trade. I would have gone through that – with a gnashing of teeth.
They didn’t manage the general
But what I can’t get over is the administration of Prague’s affairs by the pirate mayor Hřib. She was the real general at the performance “Ivan Bartoš Premiem” or Pirates in Government. I even worked with Boletus before he joined the city hall Conversation. It already showed that he had great self-confidence, a minimal idea of how things were going at the municipality and zero concrete vision of the development of Prague.

Which is in practice confirmed very quickly. The mayor really likes the heavy gold chain and the more popular piškuntalia, which he uses to cover what really crushes Prague. What is it? In the first, second and third row to the right. Then the petty crime of the socially maladapted and the resulting emergence (fortunately only small-but they will grow) of no-go zones, lack of affordable housing and almost lack of social services for sick seniors. Yeah, and healthcare. It goes to hell, doctors of retirement age, waiting to be ordered by a specialist for 3 or more months, dentists only private and, out of the possibility, middle-income groups, but hospitals work well. And so on.

What does he solve at the municipality?
And the biscuits? So just look at what is happening at the municipality according to its press releases. I think the subtitles will suffice (I compared from the newest, did not miss anything, did not add anything):
- The capital, the first coworking center for technological and business startups, opened in Smíchov SPŠ
- Representatives of Prague and Brussels will unveil the Václav Havel Bench at the European Parliament building
- Prague councilors approved other projects to support social services
- Four projects from Prague are heading to the finals of the prestigious Adapterra Awards competitions
- The capital will support the return of Praguers to the streets of the metropolis of the new My City – Discover Prague campaign
- The inter-university program prg.ai Minor educated young experts in artificial intelligence
- The National Sports Agency sent suggestions to the Association of the Czech Republic for the call Regions 2021 with a subsidy volume of over one billion crowns
- Once again, the mobile vaccination team can help with the vaccination with the third dose in the homes of the elderly
- The Association of Regions appeals to the Ministry of Regional Development to accept its request to increase the allocation in the IROP program for investments in secondary schools
- The city gallery exhibits new works from its collections
- The professional seminar presented the possibilities for preventing heat islands in cities using threshing surfaces
- Siren test
- Prague will present its large infrastructure projects at the trade fair in Munich, which have changed its appearance in the coming years
Ha, here is something interesting, so what Prague residents are preparing for us: “The presentation of the capital city of Prague at the upcoming Expo Real 2021 in Munich, Germany will focus this year on large infrastructure projects will bring a variety of investment opportunities. Among the selected constructions is, for example, the project of metro D, the Municipal Ring Road and the industrial semicircle or the construction of the Smíchov Transport Terminal. Other projects that will be presented within Expo Real not only by the professional public and investors are the Vltava Philharmonic Orchestra or a new residential development prepared by the Prague Development Company. “So when will it be? And what is already being done, apart from the PowerPoint presentation, huh?
- More than 6,000 people took part in the vote on the emotional map of the capital
- The School Commission of the Association of Regions needs the government to better coordinate quarantine measures in schools
- Prague councilors negotiated the purchase of land for the so-called green belts near the Prague ring road
- 20 million will go to Prague secondary schools to equip and support vocational education
- Subsidies for the reconstruction of a home for the elderly and the construction of an apartment building
- The Council approved the concept of a financing plan for the retrofitting of units of the Volunteer Fire Brigade
- Prague has a new manual on how to work with the public space of city cemeteries
Thousand apologies, Express Béme
Although the Deputy Minister for Transport, Adam Scheinherr, is not a Pirate, he is a non-partisan for Prague himself, but he managed to “become famous” nationally by closing Smetana’s embankment (where he also happens to live) for cars: “ he did not consult the matter with the City Hall of Prague 1, he left part of the road unusable with coffee tables and he transferred the operation of cars even at night to the parallel Divadelní street, where entry was valid for fifteen years due to night rest. He withdrew from this last point only after the protest of Prague 1, “she wrote. He couldn’t have done that without the mayor’s consent.

Outer circuit – we have no and no one knows when it will be completed. Metro D is in the drawing board stage. Prague traffic is constantly collapsing, the only thing we have is the Blanka tunnel. Whenever I comfortably cross half of Prague with it in a few minutes, I apologize in spirit to the expressor Bém. He was the only one under whose leadership something big and necessary stood up in Prague.
What did not steal was sold
I live in Prague 5, Smíchov, which is almost in the center. Behind us, in Prachy 13 and 17, the development of buildings is growing every day, the transport connections remain the same as in 1989. So you can imagine what it looks like. I still remember when children played field hockey in the streets around us – now, between two in the afternoon and eight in the evening, they are crawling through convoys of cars that can’t be crossed. Is it solving for someone? You know I don’t.

And housing? Every time I run down the hill, she greets me at the Prince’s Giant Building of Women’s Homes. “The seven-storey building in the shape of the letter H was built in a functionalist style according to the design of architect Josef Hlaváček on the site of the former Smíchov gasworks in 1933. The building was initiated by 1933 inaugurated. Women’s homes serve as an example of solving the housing situation of young, single, employed women, especially those outside Prague. There were a total of 900 rooms in the building with a reinforced concrete skeleton, in addition to the rooms there were also three large halls: a theater, a gym and a projection hall with a restaurant. According to the original statutes, flats were provided to women for only two years, “Wikipedia is so omniscient. No, and what about our “modern capitalism” with money always in the first place? In the 1990s, the town hall sold them. So we have offices and other retail space, downstairs polics and Lidl on the site of the former casino. And the devil always takes me. How would they be useful today for young women who do not earn a fortune.

You will only make the same mistake twice, you idiot
Everyone makes mistakes. The point is to learn from them. In principle, I agree with the commentators who claim that the Pirates did not manage the election campaign well, ceased to be their own and began to be, intoxicated by the magnificent pre-election polls, somehow for everyone and therefore for no one. Ivan Bartoš is a great sympathizer, don’t doubt it. However, he did not manage the pre-election debate well. Maybe due to inexperience, maybe it’s not “premier” material. We will see. They lost one battle, but the war is far from over. Just because Professor Fiala is just a fig leaf covering “unusual suspects”, all those meaty asses in Hugo Boss suits and a greasy roll of five thousand in the back pocket, which in the ODS can hold real power and in the garages there are grazed offroads with 0001 and 007BOND.
Professor Fiala. But who is hiding behind his back? Photo courtesy: TOGETHER
For pirate failure FACT can’t Bartoš’s tie. Rather, his inability of the party chairman to intervene in time, when after half a year it must have been clear to everyone that Boletus was a total mistake. Then there is “Masaryk’s petty work” in a party where people, leaders, are obviously still lacking. Only Bartoš, Ferjenčík, Richterová, Profant and Michálek will not pull it off.

Pirate voters are not so young nerds (though, that is), they are mainly smart people from previous ones who are closely watching the discrepancy between what is said and what is really done. And nothing is being done in Prague, the general was a complete loser. So if the Pirates want my voice again next time, don’t let them whine that Babiš’s lies may be behind their defeat – what the hell did you expect from him, for God’s sake? And why did you jump at him? Injury is not sexy. Let the Pirates admit mistakes at the fair and tell them which way to go. The sooner the better.
And the animal in the end
As with the christening of the male tapir, the Morse tapir from the Prague Zoo, a special message was heard in the Morse code when he left. Now, thanks to the broadcast message in Morse code, the whole world knows that its new home will be the German Zoo Nuremberg.
“Morse was one of the greatest cubs born (or hatched) at our zoo during the last quarantine. I could explain at length what makes such a small tapir special, but it is enough to look at it. Cream dots and dashes on the chocolate brown fur of the then cub. Everyone gets this combination. Dot-comma-dot-dot-comma, “described the director of the Prague Zoo Miroslav Bobek. “Nuremberg Zoo is the coordinator of the European breeding program of tapra tapirs, our Morse will have the best care,” added mammal curator Pavel Brandl. For those who don’t happen to know Morse code: The Morse tapir Morse leaves on September 30 for his new home at the Nuremberg Zoo. He was born at the Prague Zoo on April 19, 2020, and was named for the dotted and dashed coloring of his young fur. We wish him a happy journey and a long happy life!
