Wine fair – Lyon Dégustation makes a place for itself in the sun
Julien Viallon, responsible for the promotion of the Lyon Tasting wine fair.
Julien Viallon, promotion manager for Lyon Tasting, Lyon’s “great wine fair” is the guest for 6 minutes flat.
With autumn, it is the return of fairs and wine shows. Saturday October 9 and Sunday October 10, Lyon Tasting takes place at the Palais de la Bourse.
For this fourth Lyon edition, “the show of great wines”, as it is defined, the theme is that of reunions. Reunion of winegrowers with the public who are keen to discover their wines and reunion of amateurs who are eager to taste exceptional wines.
300 wines from all over France are candidates for tasting with, of course, a local Burgundy / Rhône Valley / Beaujolais axis, but also Bordeaux and Champagne winegrowers.
“Premium event”
“The particularity of Lyon Tasting is that it is a deliberately premium event, explains Julien Viallon, head of promotion for Lyon Tasting. We come with very beautiful estates and chateaux which are usually all over the world, in Hong Kong, New York, and very few in France. “
If Lyon, the epicenter of wine in France, given its geographical singularity, can be proud of hosting a large number of wine fairs, Lyon Tasting is differentiated by its non-commercial aspect. “There is no commercial interest behind it. You can come and taste freely, there is not sometimes this barrier or the purchase or not.”
Lovers of exceptional wines will pay 25 € / day or 35 € for the weekend pass. On the menu: unlimited tastings.
