The first, aged 26, is in contrition. “I wanted to play, I lost,” he admits. “I was coming out of detention, I didn’t have too much money. I had found a job in Switzerland and the cost of the daily commute was too high. I used this technique to reduce the charges, ”he continues.

Caught up by the motorway company, the young man began to repay. And since then, he has gone into the nails by taking an electronic toll subscription. A strategy that paid off since his goodwill enabled him to obtain a dispensation from the sentence.

The arguments of the second fell flat. “It is the motorway company that is guilty of failure. The proof: I managed to defraud! It’s up to her to confirm her system… ”. In other words, he is not the one the court should have prosecuted. Not enough to convince the judges, who sentenced him to a fine of 1,000 euros and the obligation to reimburse the 1,592 euros in material damage.
