Monegasque ultras denounce the organization’s “fiasco”
Heckled on Saturday night in their own stadium against OM, the Monegasque ultras on Monday pointed to flaws in the organization and denounced an “intolerable” treatment against them.
This is nothing new. At each Monaco-OM, Marseille supporters from all over the south-east do not hesitate to travel a few hundred (even tens) of kilometers separating them from the Rock, to “invade” the stands of the Louis-II stadium. And this was particularly visible on Saturday night, during the Olympic victory in the Principality (2-0).
Present in large numbers in the visitors’ park, but also in the rest of the stadium, OM lovers gave voice to the whole meeting. And the police are negotiated several times in the stands to try to separate the Monegasque and Marseille supporters who were warming themselves. What particularly annoyed the ultras of Monaco.
“The treatment we received in our own stadium on Saturday night is intolerable and unacceptable”
Via a press release published on Monday, they pointed out flaws in the organization and denounced a “fiasco”. “The treatment which was reported to us in our own stadium on Saturday evening is intolerable and unacceptable”, write the Monegasque ultras, listing several problems encountered during the evening. Namely an “excessive sale of seats in the stands near the Weighing to clearly identified opposing supporters”, a “parking set up during the match at the Weighing, unheard of” according to them, or even a “clubbing to make us get out of the stand then a clubbing to keep us in the stadium “.
And the ultras deplore: “It is true that for some, it is easier to hit a minority. The management of opposing supporters en masse in Monaco is three times in the season, and you have already missed it a.”
