Sunday at 6 p.m., the police were called to the scene of a motorcycle accident, chemin de la Digue on the banks of the Durance. On their arrival, about fifty people present, as well as many cross bikes. As often, a course that was not organized and two vehicles had collided. The police thus noted the presence of a victim, a young man of 19, lying on the ground, quickly taken in serious condition to the hospital, with multiple fractures.
It was at the same hospital that the police found the trace of the second accused. The 21-year-old had surrendered on his own. Having consumed narcotics, he initially refused the blood tests recommended by the investigators. On him, this individual from Lacoste carried several grams of weed and cannabis.
He finally explained to the police that a frontal impact had taken place between the two bikers during a wheeling (practice of the rear wheel). The young man also admitted having participated in these “runs” for a year. He is the subject of preliminary proceedings, pending the result of the victim’s blood tests and hearing.
