The smallest house in Prague. You take three steps and you are on the other side
However, it is not a house in the famous Golden Lane, but you will find it not far from the St. Agnes Monastery. Originally, it wasn’t even a house, but an alley they had built. So that you do not doubt that you are really standing in front of the smallest house, you also have this information on the red board. The paradox is that even though the house was a short distance from the monastery, 40 years of prostitution took place in it.
The author of the project was the architect Josef Liebel, and the mini house was built here in the second half of the 19th century. There were two rooms in a row, and a third was added a few years later. Today, the house is listed, but behind the original facade you will no longer find rooms, they have not been preserved. However, residents pass into the back wing, which is inhabited.
The narrowest alley measures half a meter and pedestrians pass according to the traffic lights
The second narrowest house in Prague is the Clementine Hotel. It is only three meters long, yet 20 people can enter here. This house was built in the 14th century and was originally called U Panny Marie.
The narrowest street in Prague is U Lužického semináře street. You can find it near the Charles Bridge in Malá Strana. Some people might not even pass it. In some places it is only half a meter wide and the traffic is controlled by a traffic light for pedestrians.
The tallest Citi Tower is 109 meters
On the opposite side, the houses are the tallest or longest. It does not have the tallest house in the Republic of Prague. The Citi Tower office building in Prague’s Pankrác is two meters lower than the Brno AZ Tower, which measures 111 meters.
But maybe the capital will see. The tallest house in the Czech Republic called Top Tower should connect to the pedestrian zone, which leads in Prague from the Nové Butovice metro station through the central Sluneční náměstí to the Hůrka metro station. The sculptor David Černý and the architect Tomáš Císař from the Black n ́Arch studio present themselves on the design.
The proposal is remarkable. It resembles a ship, or rather its wreck, built vertically and interspersed with a house. It may resemble the threats facing humanity. It should have a public roof garden, which visitors can reach by ski lift. The building could reach 135 meters and it will be possible to see Prague Castle, Vyšehrad or Zbraslav.
The longest building in Prague is a panel house, which can be found in the Prague housing estate Bohnice. The house in Zelenohorská Street is 330 meters long and has 18 entrances. It has over 600 apartments. A larger building can accommodate a larger village or a smaller town. The panel record holder has been standing here since 1975.
