Czech Railways and ZSSK will start driving cars between Prague and Poprad again
Between Prague and Poprad, one EN car train with a capacity of up to 10 cars will be included in the EN Slovakia train set.
České dráhy (ČD), in cooperation with the Railway Companies of Slovakia (ZSSK), will resume the operation of the car train between Prague and Poprad. In August and August he will travel once a week, from Prague to Slovakia always on the night from Friday to Saturday and in the opposite direction the following night from Saturday to Sunday. The car train will leave Prague for the first time this Friday (July 2) evening. The car and the sleeping car will be arranged on the train EN Slovakia (442/443).
“Because EN 443 has a regular departure from Prague. n. in an earlier time position (20:48), we want to ask customers for an earlier arrival at the autoramp. Loading at the station Praha hl. n. will take place from 19:20 to 19:40, “ said ZSSK.
Car train Prague hl. n. – Poprad-Tatry and back will be led as follows:
• car (Prague hl. N. 20:48 – Poprad-Tatry 06:41) will be led to train EN 443 in (5) / (6) from 2./3.VII. to 27./28.VIII. and 4./5.VII .;
• car (Poprad-Tatry 23:32 – Prague hl. N. 07:32) will be led to train EN 442 in (6) / (7) from 3./4.VII. to 28./29.VIII. and 5./6.VII.
“A possible increase in the frequency of deployment of the car will depend on the demand of passengers,” added by ZSSK. According to České dráhy, both state carriers are responding to growing demand by introducing a car service between Prague and Poprad, which was resumed in mid-June after a break of more than eight months after the EN 443/442 Slovakia train with car services for Prague-Košice relations.
In relation to Košice, there are a total of two cars with a capacity of up to 20 cars, between Prague and Poprad, one car with a capacity of up to 10 cars will be included in the EN Slovakia train set. The car train ticket also includes a reservation for a sleeping car for the driver and possibly his fellow passengers.
The car train on the route Prague – Humenné will not be in operation yet.
