Prague – In Prague in Vinohrady today a man at the labor office shot down his worker, the woman succumbed to her injuries in the hospital. A man fled the building on Bělehradská Street, searched for by hundreds of police officers using a helicopter. A sixty-six-year-old suspect was detained in Palackého Street after about four hours, and he is a murder suspect. The police do not yet know the motive for the shooting. The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs wants to increase the safety of employees.
The detainees are the same man that the police were looking for due to the burns of a woman in Central Bohemia, said Prague police spokeswoman Eva Kropáčová. During the search for him, the police entered an apartment in Liben, Prague, on Saturday, and a booby-trapped firing system injured one of the police officers.
Criminalists have initiated criminal proceedings against the detainee for the crime of murder, but they do not rule out extending the legal qualification to other acts, the director of the Prague police, Tomáš Lerch, told reporters. According to him, the motive for the crime is the suspicion that it may have been related to other criminal activities. The man had a firearm illegally.
“While there was no harm to health, only the coercive threat of a firearm was used,” Lerch said. According to the mayor of Prague Zdeněk Hřiba (Pirates), the city’s camera system helped to capture it.
From Friday, the police were looking for a man who had burned the former colleague with a mixture in front of the Aero Vodochody building that afternoon in Odolena Voda near Prague. “There is a reasonable suspicion that the crime, which was committed in the Central Bohemian Region, is related to the suspect’s actions even in the case of the booby-fired shooting system and in the event of today’s incident,” said the head of the Prague police.
The man of the same name that the police were looking for for shooting, previously on the Internet saidthat the labor office owes him money. “The official at the Labor Office is provoking and trying to provoke a conflict, where I will be caught up in incorrect conduct and accused of injury to health,” he wrote at the end of May.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs took measures to increase the safety of employees, Minister Jana Maláčová (ČSSD) told reporters today. Together with the Ministry of the Interior, the trade union executive wants more security for the employees of the state and the public sphere, said the head of the Czech-Moravian Confederation of Trade Unions, Josef Středula.
People’s attacks on officials are not separate. In recent years, one of the job seekers attacked an employee of the Kutná Hora Labor Office. He caused her injuries, which required ten days of incapacity for work. The police also dealt with one of the clients at the town hall in Neratovice threatening the case clerk with a syringe and claiming that she would infect her with jaundice. An employee of the social security administration in Rakovník or an employee of the vehicle register in the building of the Říčany town hall also faced the attack.
