The noblewoman opens. But only half, people will wait at least another year for a beer
“We completed the first part, the cultural hall and the lower and upper galleries. They can be used for theater or chamber concerts, but also for various celebrations, weddings or graduations, “said Hana Třeštíková (Councilor for Culture), Councilor for Culture.
The background will be completed in the stage, which should take at least another year. It will therefore be completely open to the public next summer.
“The problem was with the designers and the contractor. It was found that the monument parts are complex, it stretched financially and temporally, “said Třeštíková. The original cost estimate of 100 million crowns has almost tripled.
“It really wasn’t easy, the project was bad. When someone wants something, it is fulfilled. I go to Stromovka to run and I didn’t like to see it fall into disrepair, “said former mayor Adriana Krnáčová (YES), whom mayor Zdeněk Hřib (Pirates) also invited to yesterday’s press conference.
The summer scene of some theaters?
Originally a Baroque summer house, it was owned by Prague 7, but it did not have the funds to repair it, so it was transferred to the municipality a few years ago.
After the repair, the building will be taken under its wings by the municipal company Obecní dům, which operates the monument of the same name on Republic Square. “The building will be taken over by the city when it is completely approved, until then it will be operated by the municipality. We are waiting for it to be complete, it remains to compete suppliers for the interior of the restaurant, “said David Skála, a member of the board of directors of the city company and former councilor of the first city for Prague himself.
In the future, he would like to invite some Prague theaters with their summer stage and at the same time move part of the program from the Municipal House.
Promise of popular prices for refreshments
“One of our basic requirements is to fix popular prices, we have an agreement that we will consult the drink list,” said David Skála.
The mayor of Prague 7, Jan Čižinský (Prague himself), also promised that the prices of refreshments in the luxury space would not be overpriced. “We will make sure that the widest possible group of people can come here, so that the Nobility is for everyone,” Čižinský promised.
In the meantime, people can use a gastronomic container standing nearby for refreshments.
