On Tuesday, the Czech artist Pasta Oner opened his large solo exhibition called 20th Century Cabinet at the Villa Pellé Gallery in Prague. In the extensive exhibition you will find around sixty new and previously unexhibited works divided into five thematic series of different art technicians. The exhibition will be open until July 25.
“I see the exhibition at Villa Pellé as a major milestone. I feel great respect and I must admit that I have a great tremor after those four years in Prague. The 20th Century Cabinet is mainly for fun, and I believe that it will first reach a wider audience across generations. I want me to arouse mainly positive emotions in the visitors and leave charged and with a smile. Spend a nice afternoon in a wonderful place and train your brain-tired brain, just as you need to stretch a muscle you haven’t practiced in a long time. This is also one of the reasons why I do the exhibition, ”said Pasta Oner, who is currently also exhibiting in the Ludvík Kuba Gallery in Poděbrady, where several works that have not been exhibited yet, including several plastics, are also on display.
However, the Prague exhibition is conceived differently, as a remembrance of the 90s and the turn of the new millennium. Curator Pavel Kubesa took care of the architecture of the exhibition with strong scenographic features. The exhibition is divided into five places of a neo-renaissance villa, where the works of other technicians are exhibited, such as oil painting, pastel drawing, etched stone sculptures or objects of various sizes. There are works with so many popular pop art themes.
