Several new countries and Copenhagen will be red – E24
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that several countries in Europe will be “red” from the night of 22 August.
This is confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs above VG.
This means, among other things, that travelers to the Capital Region, which includes Copenhagen, will have to be quarantined for ten days when entering Norway after the night of 22 August.
The United Kingdom, Greece, Ireland and Austria will also be colored red from the same date.
– On the basis of the National Institute of Public Health’s assessment of the infection situation for corona, the government has decided that these countries and the region go from yellow to red on the infection map for Europe, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs writes in the press release VG has received.
In Denmark, Zealand and Central Jutland have been red since 15 August, in addition to the Faroe Islands.
At the same time, Norrbotten in Sweden will be yellow, and thus not included by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ travel council.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs nevertheless reminds us that the exceptions from the travel council are not an invitation to travel abroad. They ask everyone as tools to think about how to look carefully in relation to the country they are going to travel to.
Thus, three out of five regions in Denmark are in the red zone from 22 August, which means that you must be quarantined after being there.
This follows the advice from FHI, which on 17 August requested that Great Britain, Ireland, Greece and Austria, together with Copenhagen, should be red.
At the last survey, the Capital Region of Denmark had 24 registered infected per 100,000 inhabitants in total over the last few weeks. This is above the limit of 20 infected.
The same applies to the other countries, which were between 20.7 and 23.3 infected per 100,000 inhabitants.
Denmark introduced from August 12 injunction on bandages on public transport in the municipalities of Aarhus, Silkeborg, Favrskov, Skanderborg, Odder and Horsens. From 22 August, this will be mandatory on public transport and public transport throughout the country.
