Prague continues to fight coronavirus. It has ten prevention and a new test site

Sugar Mizzy August 16, 2020

The mayor of Prague, Zdeněk Hřib (Pirates), said on Saturday via an official Facebook profile: “Instead of an overpriced exchange office, we have opened a test sampling point right in the center of Prague!”

At Václavské náměstí 29, the private company GHC Genetics is now performing PCR tests for the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. “This is another step in bringing the possibility of testing closer not only to tourists, but also to residents in the very center of the metropolis,” Mayor Hřib added in a press release. Mushroom claims that asymptomatic people who need a negative test to travel abroad can also come to “Václavák”.

According to the municipality, the collection point with a capacity of hundreds of samples per day is intended for self-payers, clients with a request from a doctor. “The order is not ordered in advance,” said spokesman Vít Hofman.

The test site is open daily from 8 am to 6 pm on Fridays. The results of people within 24 hours via SMS – the municipality, however, stated that in exceptional cases they may be delivered with a delay. The price of the standard PCR test is CZK 1,750 for self-payers.

“We consider the protest of citizens to be a basic preventive measure to prevent the further spread of covid-19. The current capacities where people can be tested are not sufficient, which is why we are setting up new test sites in Prague. Tourists and visitors to Prague from abroad will also be alerted to the existence of a new test site on Wenceslas Square so that we can catch a possible infection in time and prevent further spread, “said the mayor’s deputy for security Petr Hlubuček (United Forces for Prague / STAN).

Vaccination, vitamin D and weight reduction

The mushroom repeats that the epidemiological situation in Prague “remains stable”, but the mayor continues to beg the public for consideration – ie compliance with government measures and other regulations, such as wearing veils in the metro area.

Earlier, the capital city published ten measures with the motto “Together against the covid-19”. The management of Prague, in cooperation with the hygiene station, is trying to reduce the risks and effects of the disease you get from the new type of coronavirus.

“I believe that despite the growing number of people with covid-19 infections, we will manage the situation because we are prepared and instructed in the spring course of the pandemic. Each and every one of us can and must contribute. The basis is to protect vulnerable groups of the population with our own responsible approach to hygienic measures and to maintain optimism, “said Zdeňka Jágrová, Director of the Hygiene Station of the Capital City of Prague, at the ten. At the beginning of the spring, Prague hygienists launched a special coronavirus infoline.
