Jiří Ptáček became the mayor of Prague 3, the deputies held for sixteen hours
The mayors elected Jiří Ptáček on Tuesday evening after a four-hour discussion. But this was followed by many hours of “grilling” other nominated members of the city management. Among other things, the opposition did not like the fact that it would have fewer representatives on the committees and bodies of companies owned by city districts than before.
Pirates of the Pirates Štěpán Štrébl, the Greens, became the Deputy Mayors of Prague 3 Ondřej Rut and STAN Tomáš Mikeska. Jan Bína (TOP 09) and Jiří Svrček (Pirates) are vacant councilors, and Pavel Musil and Anna Kratochvílová (both Pirates) are vacant who will not be paid.
The chairman of the Committee for Territorial Development, who will be the architect, will also be a vacant representative Matěj Michal Žaloudek. The deputies also elected other chairmen and committee members.

The Coalition for Prague 3 (ODS, KDU-ČSL, Svobodní) won the elections in Prague 3 with 22.2 percent of the vote and ten seats in the 35-member council. TOP 09 and STAN won 21.1 percent of the vote and nine representatives, the Pirates have eight seats and the Greens and three independent representatives. The YES movement also succeeded, gaining five representatives. The parties that ended up in opposition did not support the new leadership.
Before the negotiations, the parties of the new coalition signed a coalition agreement, which contains about 150 program points. According to her, the coalition will focus, for example, on the reconstruction of streets and squares, the enforcement of the D metro line in Žižkov, investments in housing stock and school facilities, better routes for cyclists and pedestrians or better public order control.
Under the new leadership, the City Hall should also better inform citizens and give them access to all important documents, as well as comment on upcoming projects.
After the October elections, TOP 09 and STAN began negotiations with both the Pirates and the Greens, as well as with the Coalition for Prague 3 (ODS, KDU-ČSL, Svobodní) and its leader, the current mayor, Alexander Bella (ODS). In the end, the other parties bypassed the election winner.
