The new application of Dopravní podnik Praha can search not only for public transport connections
Search for connections, purchase of SMS tickets, information on deadlines and restrictions, the number of free places in P + R car parks or the condition of lifts and platforms in stations. New DPP Info application (for Android AND iOS) offers quite a lot. At the same time, the Prague transport company released it into the world quite inconspicuously – you will not find information about it in the News on its website yet.
Searching for a connection is classic – you enter the first few letters of the name of the start and end station (the whisperer will offer you the addition), you can also choose the stop you want to pass, departure time, number of offenses and whether it should be just barrier-free or low-floor connections. The application remembers the last searched connections and you can also save your favorite routes so that you do not have to fill them in again later.
You can also buy an SMS ticket directly from the application (but you must have the Premium SMS service active) – it works so that the application pre-fills an SMS message for you (including the number to which it is to be sent), which you then just send. In a competitive application SMS Ticket The purchase is a bit easier – the user does not have to leave the application environment at all and it also monitors the time after which the SMS ticket is valid.

DPP Info can also display departures of all means of transport from specific stops and you will also find notifications of deadlines and other restrictions or news from the News section on the website of the Transport Company of the Capital City of Prague.
Another function is to display whether the lifts and platforms in the barrier-free stations are in operation or not. This can be interesting information for wheelchairs or mothers with prams. Drivers will also find the current number of free spaces in the car parks in the application.
The application is relatively robust and filled with information. If you want something simpler, you can recommend a classic MHDroid (Android only), which focuses only on finding connections. For iOS, on the other hand, there is competition in the form Public transport applications (former MojeMHD), which also offers timetables in a number of cities outside Prague and also works on Apple Watch.
