The property of the transport company will go on sale. With almost a year’s delay

Sugar Mizzy February 7, 2014

The city’s transport company will offer real estate worth the main hundreds of millions of crowns. For example, the historic Orionka depot in Prague 3 or the Švábka complex in Prague 8 will be available for purchase. The company wanted to sell eight lucrative properties last May, but it dropped out of the electronic auction.

Everything got stuck on that transport company property originally offered to the capital later but the city’s supervisory board withdrew the proposal. According to spokesman Jiří Štábel, the company urged the city to sell the property, but without a response.

“The Supervisory Board came up with a request that the offer of properties selected for sale be coordinated with the sale of additional assets. It can be, for example, the merging of the property owned by a transport company and the city into one offer or another solution that has brought more efficient sales, “the press department of the capital informed the E15.cz server. The task is said to be being worked on, but it requires longer preparation. “Therefore, the announcement of auctions is not up to date now,” says the municipality.

The transport company is currently preparing a tender for the selection of those interested in renting non-residential premises and is preparing price maps. “We expect it to be published at the turn of February and March,” Stabl said. Most of the space will be in metro stations.

The transport company also wants to send the Orionka depot for sale this year. There is also a unique Prague tram track in the depot area, which was commissioned by František Křižík in 1897. Public transport, “Štábl mentioned.

Part of Orionka is also an apartment building with three apartments. The plot also has, for example, a sheet metal shelter, a rubber factory, a gatehouse and a storage of combustibles.

Other lucrative properties that will be available include the Švábky complex in Prague 8. The complex was originally used by the transport company as a repair facility for corporate transport. It consists of its administrative and residential house, a two-aisle repair hall, an oil management building, a mobile gatehouse or a mobile low-pressure gas steam boiler room. “The limitation in the case of demolition of existing buildings and new construction will be the protection zone of the metro and the metro tunnel, which tightens the conditions of construction activity,” said a spokesman for the transport company.

Švábky will also go on sale

The transport company will also be looking for a new owner for land and buildings between Švábky Street and Libeňský Bridge. At present, some of them are used by Metrostav as a construction site. The contractual documentation with the city district of Prague 8, which is building an administrative building here, is also a burden. The Prague City Hall has already expressed interest in buying.

Štábl did not want to specify the method of sale yet. “It simply came to our notice then. One of the variants is the previously postponed electronic auction, “said Štábl. According to him, it also depends on how much the method of sale will cost.

“At the same time, we are identifying other unnecessary assets that will also be offered for sale. The basis for the price will be determined by an expert opinion, which the transport company will have processed as soon as the leading bodies decide on the actual sale of specific unnecessary assets, “the spokesman stated.
