Modification of the Czech part of the track in the section Pilsen – Domažlice – national border is divided into 4 buildings and we expect the start of the implementation of this modernization in in 2024. “From the point of view of the Czech Republic, it is important to prepare a track not only for passenger cars transportbut at the same time ensure sufficient capacity for transport freight,” adds Kupka. The aim is to prepare a track with such parameters that would allow for the operation of a minimum of 1 freight train in each direction during each hour, including the highest (minimum of 24 pairs of trains evenly distributed throughout the day).
The two ministers will also discuss the future of functioning Prague – Munich.
