Pospíšil received the trust of the citizens, Svoboda will work for Prague as an MP, says Hřib about the “accumulators of functions” in the council
What we ask in the interview:
- Why the Pirates left the Alliance for Stability.
- Why doesn’t the “accumulator of functions” Svoboda or Pospíšil, who “went on vacation with Redl” anymore.
- How does the council deal with the topic of transport, which was a divisive line in Prague.
Are you happy with how the coalition talks are going for the Pirates?
Negotiations are still ongoing, it is difficult to evaluate the day before the evening. Basically, the two basic problems that we have had here since December are still being solved. The first is the situation in the council. All that remains is for Spolu to say how they will divide their seats.
Isn’t it a question only on Spolu, which is irrelevant to you?
It isn’t. Our regional forum will vote on the council here, and we want to know how the council will be composed and who we will vote for.
So if there were, say, five ODS representatives, would it be a problem?
Each Pirate will make decisions based on their own criteria, so we try to show what the final negotiated offer looks like. And this is part of it. It’s homework Together, but I personally don’t think it will be complicated.
The second thing to address was that the original December offer included an investment governor position. Generally speaking, the point is that this position limited the powers of councilors to carry out and fulfill promises to voters. We are trying to ensure that there is nothing like this in the council now and that the responsibilities are full-fledged.
I understand, for example, that the councilors have given city companies under them.
On the one hand, it is a precise delimitation of powers in the line. But it’s also about the fact that some tasks without city companies don’t make sense. I will give you one illustrative example: An ICT operator is a city company that does IT. And it is logical that a councilor who will deal with information technology has it at hand.
The third thing we deal with is the detailed specification of the program. And that is the essential thing.
Where are the biggest disputes?
I wouldn’t say that we have disputes. We received the basic program theses from Spolu. We thought they were brief, so we elaborated on them. We are now waiting for a response.
Why will the Alliance for Stability not be in the coalition?
A fundamental change was brought about by the STAN movement. After the January offer from Spolu, he changed his mind, and his representatives told us that they don’t count on Prague in a row.
They said they respect Spolu’s offer.
It had an evolution. After the elections, they said that they would like to represent Prague in the council. In November they said they didn’t care more or less. Last week, I already noted statements from STAN representatives that they find it out of line when Spolu’s offer does not include Praha seba.
So is STAN behind the collapse of the Alliance for Stability?
The reality is that
