A 2021-2022 season full of promise
Far from the glitter that a striker can receive, Felix Lemaréchal has managed to make a name for himself through his performances in midfield. Constant and reliable (20 games), the youngster (19) also demonstrated his ability to fill the much-scrutinized box of statistics (2 goals and 2 assists) during the 2021-2022 season.. Inevitably, this created a place for him in the professional workforce: 8 short minutes during a Ligue 1 match, but above all 51 minutes during a French Cup match. Clearly, the future was looking bright.
Part of the Monegasque project
was announced, because he has never known the professional world since. And yet, he is part of the project for young Monegasque talents of which Jean-Emmanuel de Witt (former general manager) boasted on the AS Monaco website: ” From the Academy to the first team, we trust our young people and we believe in them. The proof today with Maghnes Akliouche, Benoît Badiashile, Eliot Matazo, Soungoutou Magassa, Felix Lemarechal or Yllan Okou, who are all part of the professional group. For this reason, it is crucial to have an optimal development framework for them. Everyone knows how much training is part of AS Monaco’s DNA “.
Loaned to Brest
To prolong its progression, the midfielder was loaned to Stade Brestois without purchase option. He joins a very dense midfield formation since behind the holders Hugo Magnetti and Mahdi Camara, there are other experienced players such as Haris Belkebla or even Pierre Lees-Melou. Nothing will be given to Félix Lemaréchal. And that may be the reason for its potential future success.
