Women’s handball NB I: Győri-Lukács excelled in Győr against MTK

Sugar Mizzy January 28, 2023

In the 12th round of women’s handball NB I, Audi ETO KC from Győr defeated MTK by six goals. Siófok and Vác also won decently.

The MTK recently put a lot of pressure on Ferencváros, but now against the other team with a chance to win, Győr, they had no chance to surprise. However, even now, the capital city showed that you have to pay maximum attention to them, because even though Győr led by seven goals at the break, MTK won the second half.

Viktória Győri-Lukács was the engine of Ambros Martín’s team. The 27-year-old right winger spent more than 51 minutes on the field, during which he scored nine goals. The goalkeeper Silje Solberg defended excellently, blocking the shots with 41 percent efficiency.

MASTER HEAT
Ambrose Martin:
– We had to take seriously MTK competing against FTC, and we managed to play a good match with them. In the second half, the many exhibitions made it difficult to develop a continuous game, the capital city proved their good form in this period and were able to carve out of their disadvantage.
Attila Vágó: – In the first half, the second difficult match in three days was evident on my team, the girls moved tiredly, lacked dynamics, missed opportunities. After the break, we already had a hold, we managed to close higher and achieve a close result.

MASTER SCALE
Uros Bregar:
– The primary tactical task was to stop Barbara Kopecz, I think we succeeded. Érd was strong on both sides, but that didn’t sway us. The first half was fine, I’m a bit upset about the second half because we let them come back into the game. I’m still happy because we won and got two important points.
Judit Simics: – Siófok played like a contender. We had good periods, we have to move on from them.

Praktiker-Vác–Moyra-Budaörs 26–20 (15-11)

MASTER SCALE
Gabor Herbert:
– This was not the most high-quality meeting of the championship, rather the fighting nature dominated. We made it difficult for ourselves by missing many empty goal situations and seven-meter shots. We could have decided the match when Budaörs made the match tight, but we suffered spectacularly against their open defense.
Daniel Buday: – It was a hard-fought match, we played with a lot of individual mistakes. In the second half, there was a period when we could have caught up, but we messed up the jumpers, with which we could have come within a goal of Vác, and then the home team again scored four or five goals.
