Virtual Ďolicek – The break is over, the league is here!
On Saturday afternoon, the FORTUNA:LIGA anthem will be heard again in Ďolíček.
The long wait has finally come to an end. The winter break without league football ends today and on Saturday the spring part of the highest domestic competition will start in full swing. She planned her start for a frosty January weekend, which, however, will offer several battles in which, thanks to the monitored table, she will be at stake. This also applies to Bohemka’s first match, which Teplice is waiting for at home. The two teams are separated by three points, while in the table the better-placed Kangaroos are five places behind Sklarů.
From the point of view of changes in the staff, there was peace in the warm Stínadly during the winter. The offensive was strengthened by the Senegalese forward Babacar Sy, who was provided by Slavia on loan. She bought it from Táborsk during this winter break. Just one day before the match in Ďolíček, he reinforced the defensive ranks of the Serbian stopper Mičević. Matěj Radosta returned from a guest stay in Varnsdorf.
Assistant coach Ivan Hašek commented on the approaching start of the spring season: “I expect a typical first game. So the fight for every meter, from the beginning, nervousness can also play a role. There is a small point difference between us and Teplice, so it will be a lot. Neither team will want to give the other an extra free yard. However, we are all looking forward to the start of the league. The weather will not be good for football, but I believe that there will still be a good atmosphere in Ďolíček and we will follow up on the last home duel.”
Several changes took place in Ďolíček over the winter. When composing the starting eleven, coaches will have plenty of options to choose from: “There were really only a minimum of changes in the Teplice staff. The lineup question is more about us. It is not a rule that all new players must immediately get on the field in the first game. We lost two players from the offensive line, and it will be seen how we manage to deal with it in the league as well. We have different variants ready. We’ll just have to see which one we end up deciding on. The boys are working hard in training and fighting for a place because they see that the competition is big.”
A member of the coaching staff also described the current situation in the table: “After the fall, the league is really quite balanced. For example, the first four rounds may take time to tear things up a bit and it becomes clearer what position the teams will be fighting for. It also applies to us. Even a win over Teplice does not mean that we have peace of mind, or in the opposite case, that we would be condemned to a battle for survival. The game may look like a battle for six points, but it is only one game. In addition, the form of individual teams can also change during the spring. We want to get as high as possible. That’s our goal.”
You can come to Bohemka already in the morning. At 10:30 a.m., the next preparatory match of the Kangaroo B team will begin in Uhříněvs. They will present themselves on their home field for the first time in the new year. Their opponent will be SK Sparta Kolín, the second team in the table of the Czech Football League, group B.
