The ship that disappeared in the Philadelphia experiment, “appeared” in Greece
The destroyer “US Eldridge”, which disappeared on October 28, 1943 in the “Philadelphia experiment”, was found in Greece in 1992.
Around October 28, 1943, the destroyer US Eldridge and its crew disappeared using electromagnetic fields from the Philadelphia Naval Base and appeared at the Norfolk Naval Base, Virginia, 350 kilometers away.
After a few minutes he returned in the same invisible way to Philadelphia.
The story was based on anonymous letters received by author and astronomer Morris K. Jessup in 1955 and the book later published by authors Charles Berlitz and William L. Moore in 1978.
According to the book, the experiment was based on Einstein’s “unified field theory” and describes that after the experiment was completed, Einstein realized that humanity was not ready to accept such knowledge, which would change his idea of . space, and destroyed his notes. According to the authors, the US Navy was forced to abandon the venture because some of the ship’s crew burned, others disappeared, and others went mad.
It is interesting that the destroyer “US Eldridge” was granted in 1951 to Greece and joined the force of the Navy until 1992 under the name “Leon III”.
Among the many science fiction films inspired by the book by Berlitz and William L. Moore was the 1984 film of the same name directed by Stewart Raffill, which was a huge commercial success.
