He plays at the Comédie de Toulouse: David Voinson fills the halls thanks to Tik Tok
David Voinson was discovered on the internet by playing a man and a woman in short formats. He will be at the Comédie de Toulouse on Saturday 28 January.
He may have already made you laugh for the time of a “scroll” (video scrolling, editor’s note) on your phone. David Voinson, the comedian with hundreds of thousands of subscribers (1 million on TikTok and 400,000 on Instagram) will be at the Comédie de Toulouse to show you that he can be funny, even without an interposed screen. He will perform his very first solo on stage where he will take up the themes of his characters (contraception, consent, the couple, the evolution of mentalities, etc.) through sketches and stand-up.
From drums to humor
“It’s my first show, I talk about all my troubles, I want to introduce myself, explains the person concerned. Humor on the Internet is not an end, but a way to make yourself known. I started the Comedy Club when I was 15 and it finally allows me to bring people. “The one who was once an amateur musician, drummer more precisely, chose humor fascinated by the “kings of the punchline (shock formula) which make you laugh in one sentence”. And he knew how to make his way. “It all starts with a need for recognition. By making people laugh, I feel accepted. So the scene was always obvious, I never had a plan B. “
Humor as therapy? Maybe for him. Certainly for its spectators. The young man tackles period subjects with great empathy and questioning. “Sometimes I talk about things that really happened to me. I wondered if I’m the only one experiencing them or if I’m really an old guy. Well I can tell you that the old guys are exported internationally! Talking about all these themes with humor makes it possible to lighten harsh proposals for those who experience them”.
