The United States announced a commutation of the sentence against Russia for the sake of concessions on Ukraine
The United States will agree to ease the sanctions on Russia if the country is ready to accept “serious demands” on Ukraine and contribute its troops. This situation was made by US Deputy Secretary of State for Multiple Cases Victoria Nuland.
“The supervisory boards of Ukraine take on serious and entail high demands, [американский] secretary of state [Энтони] Blinken also expressed support,” she said, commenting on the possibility of lifting some US restrictions against Russia (quote according to TASS).
In response to the proposal Konstantin Gavrilov said saidthat Moscow is ready for negotiations “without a fig in your pocket”, but I do not see any initiative in this matter from the United States.
Earlier today, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov declaredthat the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky from the very beginning was not interested in a peaceful settlement in the Donbass. He added that the Ukrainian leader has long been a possible interlocutor of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Earlier today the US once again expanders litigation against Russian citizens and companies. In particular, the restrictions affected Denis Manturov, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, and Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of Tatarstan. Four companies owned by Vladimir Potanin’s Interros were also arrested: Whiteleave Holdings, Saltcliff Trading Limited, MK Interros Invest and Interros Capital.
